Hey ya'll, John and I are in the studio all this week and most of next week mixing the record. Many of you know it been over 2 years since we first started recording. It's exciting to be getting close to completion.
As I type john is burning a mix of "Jimmy Cliff" down to 2 inch tape. Man it sounds so good to hit tape!! I know it's a pain in the ass to work with, but recording to tape just sounds better. I wish you could all be here in the studio to hear it right from the original tape.
Jimmy cliff is a nod to my reggae heroes, so we've got some classic tape echo going on on this track.

She's one of canada's most popular soul singers. based in Toronto, she's penned songs for Destiny's Child and Nas, and shared the stage with Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Bon Jovi, Josh Groban and Usher. she's hosted the juno awards and is a host of e-talk daily. but more inportantly she's an amazing singer and I hear she's travelling with a killer band.
